Over 100 people gathered at Turner House on Monday October 14th, 2009, to learn the properties selected for this year's Fall Home Tour and to celebrate the Old Oak Cliff Conservation League's 35th anniversary. The Tour is the greatest ambassador that Oak Cliff has, bringing in visitors from all over to our area, many for the first time. The event was catered by the Hamburger Man aka. Hunky's.
Home Tour Co-Chair's Vicki Fitzgerald and Judi Glazer took patrons through a Power Point of all the properties. Twelve homes from 9 different neighborhoods were selected. The neighborhoods are Beckleywood, Elmwood, East Kessler, Kessler Park, Kessler Woods, West Kessler, Kidd Springs, Winnetka Heights and Wynnewood. The oldest home was built in 1913 and the newest in 2008, with almost every decade in between represented. A slide show of all the properties will be up shortly.
Opportunities are still available for volunteers. Contact Michele Cox if you are interested.
