Davis Street Land Use Study

A public meeting was held at Hitt Auditorium at Methodist Hospital on October 22. Attended by some 200 concerned residents, the meeting was to inform the public about a large scale rezoning effort that is being considered along Davis St. and Bishop Ave. and surrounding areas on either side of those streets. Larry Good, of Good, Fulton and Farrell, was hired to conduct the study with the input of a group of ten local developers and residents from the area. Commercial property owners and developers funded the study.

The large area was divided into seven sub-areas with each of those being treated differently by the plan.

Area 1 is along Bishop from the Bishop Arts District to Methodist Hospital. Front yard setbacks would be honored while four story

Dear Councilman Neumann,
It was great to see you last night at the OOCCL Holiday. I would like to take the time at this eleventh hour to visit again on the Form Base Zoning (FBZ) going up for vote on 12/10/08. You’ve said input from the neighborhoods was minimal. Therefore, if you would allow me the opportunity to address this issue from one more perspective.
